Releasing Worldwide on Friday, January 26, 2018 in North America, Japan, and Europe, Monster Hunter: World will feature Sword and Shield, Dual Blades, Great Sword, Long Sword, Hammer, Hunting Horn, Lance, Gunlance, Switch Axe, Insect Glaive, Charge Blade, Light Bowgun, Heavy Bowgun, and the Bow as far as weapon choices go. Confirmed Monsters in the game so far include Barnos, Gajau, Girros, Grimalkyne, Jagras, Kestodon, Mernos, Noios, Anjanath, Great Girros, Great Jagras, Jyuratodus, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Legiana, Nergigante, Odogaron, Paolumu, Pukei-Pukei, Radobaan, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku , Tobi-Kadachi, and Zorah Magdaros.

Some locations for the game revealed thus far include Ancient Forest, Wildspire Waste, Coral Highlands, Rotten Vale, and a yet-to-be named area for Monster Hunter: World. With 16 sections to the area, Small Monsters included in the Ancient Forest are: Aptonoth, Grimalkyne, Jagras, Kestodon, Mernos, Mosswine, and Vespoid. Large Monsters in the Ancient Forest include: Anjanath, Great Jagras, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Pukei-Pukei, Rathian, Rathalos, Tobi-Kadachi, and Deviljho. There is no known hazard for the area at this time.
It is unknown how many areas are in the Wildspire Waste but Small Monsters here include: Apceros, Grimalkyne, Kelbi, Kestodon, Mernos, Noios, and Vespoid. Large monsters in the Wildspire Waste include: Anjanath, Barroth, Diablos, Jyuratodus, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Nergigante, and Rathian. The hazard of Extreme Heat is active in Wildspire Waste.
We don’t know yet exactly how many parts there are to the Coral Highlands. Small Monsters in the area include: Kelbi, Raphinos, and Shamuosu. Large monsters in this section include: Legiana, Odogaron, Paolumu, and Tzitzi-Ya-Ku. It is unknown what, if any, is the hazard of this land.
Although the exact number of scenes available in the Rotten Vale location is yet unknown, the Small Monsters found there can include the Girros, the Hornetaur, and the Raphinos. Large Monsters nearby include Great Girros, Odogaron, Radobaan, a yet unnamed Monster Hunter: World enemy creature known as “Monster 004”. Hazards of the area include Toxic Gases and Acid Puddles.
In the unnamed area of the game which has been shown to players, not much is known yet. What is known, is that Large Monsters expected to appear here include Nergigante and Zorah Magdaros.
