Mortal Kombat 11 was one of the best selling fighting games of last year boasting the biggest digital launch of the franchise as well as the first Multi-platform title to Top the best selling list for all current available platforms and overall sell $8.8 Billion Total Sales in April alone.
Spawn, Terminator, Shang Tsung, Sindel, Nightwolf and the Joker all graced the original Kombat Pack as well as A Grand Showing at Evo 2019, CEO and Final Round tournament last year. When the DLC pack for Spawn dropped it was promised by the development team that more content was on the way and that was confirmed with Yesterday’s story teaser for the next chapter in the Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath. Today we have a closer look at MK11 Aftermath.
NetherRealm Studios with all of this success how ever did face a lot of criticism starting with “The Krypt” Micro-Transactions disaster at launch as well as staggered support for Kombat Pack releases along with a rather quite Community/Social Media team which ultimately hurt the overall fan base because many in the Fighting Game Community as well as initial buyers dropped out of the game over the course of 2019.
