The Last Of Us Creative Director All But Re-Confirms 60 Frames Per Second For PS4 Release Has Been Achieved

Neil Druckmann of Naughty Dog has responded to a public message from the Uncharted 4 Game Director over social media which opened with “I had a dream in 60fps last night. #TLOUremastered”  to which Neil replied “what if I told you that was no dream? #believe”  and the online crowd of nosy spectators went wild. As we mentioned not that long ago, Corrine Yu of Naughty Dog has stated that the team is now aiming for achieving even higher than 60 frames per second for The Last Of Us: Remastered which is hitting PlayStation 4 exclusively on July 29, 2014.

Many argue the merit of 60 frames per second versus 30 and lay the claim that the difference is impossible to distinguish by the human eye. Others protest that it indeed makes a huge difference, especially for gamers who have a PC Gaming background or have seen the evolution from 8-bit, to 16-bit, all the way up to modern graphics seen today. However…

With each increasing technology, sounds and images received by the human brain are being processed at a faster and faster rate. This is the real reason why many are noticing the difference while some others may not yet. Take a listen to our iRGN Podcast #1: Evolution of the Mind for more on that topic which we discuss at length, and stay on the lookout for more Naughty Dog news as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End remains fresh in mind.
