New Lego Batman Game Announced

A new Lego Batman game has just been announced and will be titled Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Lego Batman 3 will be released on all major consoles, handhelds, and on PC. Lego Batman 3 will continue on from the events of Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.  In this new adventure, Batman will have to travel into space in order to prevent the villain known as Braniac from destroying the world. Braniac is using the power of the Lantern Rings to miniaturize cities from across the cosmos. In this brand new intergalactic adventure, Batman will team up with over 150 unlockable characters from the DC universe and they will visit different lantern worlds to collect these Rings in order to put an end to Braniac’s diabolic plan.

The 150 characters that will be incorporated into the game, much like previous Lego games in the series, will each have their own set of unique gadgets and abilities. Another interesting component is that the announcement also states that “the power of the Lantern rigs bring unexpected twists to the classic characters’ personalities.” It seems that Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, will have many twists and turns within the story and also change the way we may view many of the DC heroes and villains that we have all grown accustomed to.
