The 15th Anniversary of the Dreamcast… A Look Back In Time

I would like to take this time to pay tribute to the ‘console-before-its-time’, the SEGA Dreamcast. It has been 15 years since it released in Japan and 14 in the USA and it has definitely left its legacy in our hearts as gamers. From the controller to the graphics everything about this system was amazing and now with SEGA doing a re-release for the Dreamcast some may get to bring back great childhoods or teenage years.

Fans of the Dreamcast and me of course remember having so much fun in the living room or at a friends house playing games like Power Stone, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Virtual On, Shenmue, and of course Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. Other great things this system did was be the first console to have online play which back in the day was ground-breaking thanks much to Phantasy Star Online and a community that still plays it even to this day.

These days SEGA just releases games but will always be remembered for its Consoles; the Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, and Sega Dreamcast. Thank you SEGA for making childhoods and many teenage years great, we hope some day you can relive you glory days and put out consoles again.
