Just Cause 2 takes place in a fictional country called Panau. The island has lots of unusual terrain. There are many mountains, rivers, an ocean and forest. It’s really fun to just play the game because you get to experience the beautiful terrain. This game is rather old. 2010 to be exact. The graphics are still very good. In some areas graphics are good, and other areas are terrible. For example, when flying in a plane or helicopter, the island is amazing. But when you are in a close up to a piece of grass, the graphics are terrible. But I guess all games are like this. The graphics are very ahead of its time. Even though its only 3 years old, new games have worse graphics.

The game cost $20 on amazon, although you could easily buy it at a local GameStop for 10. This game offers 30 hours easily before you get close to beating it. Even when you beat it you could play 10 hours of other missions that you didn’t do. This is at least 40 hours of gameplay. For the price, that is amazing.
There is no multiplayer for this game, it is all campaign. The story is actually very good considering what it is.

Basically you play as a character named Rico, and you do missions to cause chaos to the government. The main is objective is to troll the government. The government is controlling and oppressing the people because there are very large oil wells that the government is trying to drain for money. There are rebel groups that you work for. These groups really just tell you to go around and cause chaos by destroying government structures and killing the soldiers.

There is not much of a story and the campaign is very linear. You could pretty much play this game with no audio and not listen to the cut scenes at all and still beat it easily. And even after you complete the final mission, there are still probably another 10 hours in chaos to cause. This game is not really a story game, it is more of an explosions and killing game (Like COD).

Pros: Cheap, easy to play, fun, large map, good graphics

Cons: Some missions are pointless, linear campaign, dull characters

Overall: This game is great and is worth the money. I rate it an 7.8/10.
