An Intro to Smite

Anybody who is new to the MOBA genre Smite is gonna be good for you. No rune pages or masteries like in League of Legends. Neither are their ragers like in DOTA2. They have recommended builds for the levels and items. this by itself doesn’t distinguish it from others except for the fact they have auto level and auto by buttons. This lets new people concentrate on learning new champs. They also let you rent characters to try them out in certain game modes. They have a 5v5 mode, ARAM (All Random ALL MID) game type, 1v1(for level 15 and above), and a 3v3 mode. What really sets them apart is the fact they have a Match of the day mode. This is a game mode that will change every day and they also add in different types of matches every once in a while. Currently my favorite match of the day is the battle of the beards. You never realize how many gods actually have beards till you play it XD. There is one last bit of info. They have a special chat function for special words and phrases. VVGB

DOTA 2’s Revolutionary Release Model: ‘Players Being Added In Waves to Maximize Game Performance’

When Valve Software announced DOTA 2’s much anticipated release on Steam as a retail product, they didn’t just throw a ton of people into their servers until it crashed (like some other games that shall go without being named). Instead Valve has done something smart here, and began adding players in waves. We urge many game companies, especially MMO companies, to heed this strategy as a lesson from the company that embraces the community in unprecedented ways through their highly accomplished PC Gaming digital distribution gateway. You can download DOTA 2 HERE today.
