Call of Duty Ghosts – Holiday XP Event Starts Today

Today gamers will begin to receive Double XP in Call of Duty: Ghosts for multiple platforms as a celebration of the holidays. In addition to this, there’s also now a new playlist called Heavy Duty which adds a chance for more health to the multiplayer component of Ghosts which has been criticized for being one of the least enjoyable MP’s in the entire series (mainly due to poorly designed maps). You can get double experience from December 27, 2013 until the morning of December 30, 2013 – so get killing before it runs out.

Rockstar Games: “working around the clock on resolving them” (GTA Online Issues)

Rockstar Games has released a statement to the public. After warning us that all online games of such massive popularity have issues meeting the demand of millions of gamers trying to play multiplayer at the same time, and GTA Online would be no different, the expectable has happened and many frustrated gamers have had a hard time playing thus far. The following statement was released by Rockstar Games on the Social Club Network:

“We are continuing to look into these issues and are working around the clock on resolving them as quickly as possible-“

“This includes close monitoring of our support systems, forums, social media, and in-game data to measure traffic along with community sentiment to ensure ongoing improvements to stability.”

In the meantime they are encouraging all players experiencing issues to report their problems to the support team. RealGamerNewz recommends enjoying some GTA V while waiting for the online multiplayer portion to become de-congested. We are assuming that the team is rushing to get many more servers online in addition to finding bug-fixes for anything that is going wrong server-side while preparing a patch for client-side issues as well.

League of Legends Bugfix for Blue Minion XP Glitch Incoming Today

Riot Games will be implementing a new bugfix today ahead of their League of Legends Championships which fixes a bug causing players to sometimes receive extra XP when killing blue minions in the game. They have also extended an apology and explanation for why it took so long to fix, stating that the weekend is a peak time for their servers and they couldn’t roll out the update during the weekend because it would have jeopardized server stability. Additionally, the first bugfix they developed had to be re-worked as it caused other problems.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Delayed

Microsoft has announced through Major Nelson that the Xbox 360’s physical release of Minecraft, dubbed Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, will not be releasing on time with its scheduled release date. However, this delay comes with good reason. The delay of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition will allow for even more bug fixes and content to be contained in the game thus making it a more polished release. Check out the Tweet below from Major Nelson which announced this to the world publicly:

DICE Unsure of How They Can Fix Battlefield 3 Bugs

MP1st reports the further commenting of DICE on Battlefield 3 bugs existent on the console version of the game, particularly the PlayStation 3. Apparently the Input Lag of controls to action and the lack of a centralized VoIP have been recognized as issues of the game that need to be worked on. According to the article published by MP1st DICE is still attempting to find solutions. It also appears that Dice is unsure of the exact “root” of the problem. Check out the entire article’s quote below:

“Regarding the PlayStation 3, the two obvious issues many fans are upset about are the inpust lag and VoIP. We still have no information regarding the former but DICE has recently had this to say about the VoIP issues: ”we are investigating the root cause and possible solutions for PS3 VoIP. We ask for your patience while this is worked out.” It brings us to wonder if the input lag found in the PS3 version of BF3 will ever see a solution in the near future. DICE also assures us that they are looking into the bug of spawning without any weapons, which seems to be affecting all platforms. “This a known bug.” Other users are reporting a black screen appearing when starting up new maps from the Back to Karkand expansion pack. Again, DICE states, “yes, we are currently looking into a solution for this issue.”
