inFamous: Second Son Takes Top Spot On UK Sales Chart, Titanfall Drops To Third

Sucker Punch Productions’ Infamous: Second Son saw an impressive debut in the UK; despite only being out for a days it took the number 1 spot on the sales charts according to the latest UKIE game charts. SS’s debut is the second biggest week 1 in the UK behind Guerilla Games’ Killzone: Shadowfall, which launched alongside Sony’s PlayStation 4 back in November.

Speaking of fall, EA and Respawn’s critically acclaimed first-person shooter Titanfall, (which previously held the no.1 spot following its March 13th release) fell to the no.3 spot as its sales dropped by 73% as Konami’s Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes secured the no.2 spot. Square Enix’s Final Fantasy X/X-2: HD Remaster took the number 4 spot while South Park: The Stick of Truth dropped to #5.

FIFA 14 manages to remain at no.6 while the previous no.2 spot holder, Dark Souls 2 took a dive to 7th. The Lego Movie Videogame, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare and Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition round out the remaining top 10.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Review By Examiner Hosts BIG Spoiler Within First Couple of Paragraphs

Excited about Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes? Well, I hope you didn’t read the Examiner’s Review for it. Because unfortunately there was a HUGE spoiler within the first three paragraphs that completely ruined the game’s ending for some users. Warning I am about to add the photo of the article before it was fixed. Luis Santos ranted that the game was a scam and gave it 1/5 stars stating it is a demo.

Luis Santos can be seen defending his review in the comments section and defending it rather….. well, to put it gently rudely:

“Well sir, I am sorry that my review didn’t live up to your expectations. I was more concerned with people spending $30 on a demo that lasts 20 minutes. I had to spoil the game because it was the only part of the game you could actually review, everything we’ve seen on the trailers is on this game. Think of this as a playable trailer, if there is a complete joke, is the fact that Konami would put something out like this and charge you a premium for it.”

“Stop your crying man, how old are you? It’s a 20 minute demo, it looks like you can’t get past that fact.”

“Because it was secondary to the game length, and because I chose not to. I hope I have satisfied your demands dude.”

This was in response to a gamer who is mad. The gamer is mad for a great reason though. A game he is a fan of was completely spoiled for him. Regardless of the length, this gamer has been waiting for this addition to the series to come out. Shout out to gamers sticking up for what they believe and outraging when a review like this is thoughtlessly posted. It is evident that they did not stick to protocol and released a bad review that spoiled the game for many. The article was titled as “Why Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes is A Scam” and gave the game a 1/5 stars.

Luke’s Impressions of the Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Japanese Trailer

So what did you guys think about the new Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes trailer?? Well yes, it’s the same one shown last year at the VGA Awards – but this time in Japanese!!! As I heard Keefer Sutherland’s voice mutter them famous words “Kept you waiting, Huh”, I was in awe.

For me he nailed it but many would disagree and that’s fine because not all of the voice acting in this trailer is perfect. Skullface, the mysterious new Protagonist with a Burnt face and rocking a badazz duster-coat, really got me excited because if there’s one thing Kojima knows how to do it’s to make the best villains in the business. So I was awaiting to see what voice he would hold, and as it turns out it sounds nothing like his character and to be honest. I was quite disappointed in this. The other voice is a familiar one – Kaz, who still has the same voice actor Robin Atkin Downes which I was more than happy with.

All in all the voice acting in my opinion was great except for Skullface but who knows, I may be wrong because not much of the Trailer shows him talking.

Please – if you haven’t gone and checked out the trailer I advise you to check it out HERE, yes it’s the same trailer but it gives us a taste of what is to come and at first it may sound weird hearing Keefer corrupt our beloved snake’s voice but I couldn’t have picked a better voice for snake. You can tell he cares about the character which is what the Metal Gear series needs. There is also a new direct feed demo of the game HERE without the Japanese commentary nor the bad feed and also the sounds of the game are much louder in this one. For more information about the upcoming title check out our dedicated Metal Gear Solid V Section Here.

Confirmed: New Metal Gear Online To Be Included In ‘The Phantom Pain’

Just as we predicted here at RealGamerNewz, after the announcement of Kojima Production’s upcoming Metal Gear, ‘The Phantom Pain,’ a new iteration of Metal Gear Online has been announced. We don’t have many details yet, such as how the new version of online play will be affected by the main game’s shift to an open world setting, but the announcement furthers the anticipation of one of gaming’s most storied franchises. The new online component is being developed at Kojima Production’s Los Angeles studio. ‘Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’ is expected some time in 2014.

E3 2013: Xbox opens up with Metal Gear Solid V

Xbox One opens up with MGSV showing off the series in the new realism feature and needed stealth. The all new game play is not what I expected but is very dynamic and realistic. Also showing off the characters and some of the story elements of the game as well. We see the game may have a much darker story then we have seen. Can not wait for The Phantom Pain. Men face there Demons in this game and Kojima even came out on stage.
