Will Infamous: Second Son Provide PS+ Instant Demo On PS4?

While Microsoft is hard at work this March bringing in new features with their upcoming patch (video and info here),  gamers could be about to see Infamous: Second Son from Sucker Punch and Sony introduce some of the planned features the PlayStation Network has to offer.

Now that the game has gone gold, there is hopefully time for the developers to get these features integrated into the game; some of the potentials include helping others remotely when friends get stuck in a game, and of course the instant demo over PlayStation Network’s cloud servers.

Right now it is unclear exactly which PSN features if any will be upgraded at the time of Infamous: Second Son’s release, but the pressure is growing for Sony and Sucker Punch to announce something in regards to either a possible co-op, multi-player, mission editor, or the PlayStation Plus features listed above which were promised previously by Sony for the PS4’s long term future, and perhaps even more brand-defining. This could be an opportune time to debut a PS Now Beta as well if necessary to boost this integration.

Infamous: Second Son releases for PlayStation 4 exclusively on March 21, 2014. Pre-Order is Now Available for this game.

UPDATE: Marvel VS Capcom 3 DLC Half Off Before MVC3 Gets Removed From PSN

We reported recently about Marvel VS Capcom 3 being removed soon from the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Games Store by Capcom. Apparently Capcom will be removing MvC2 as well and until they do so the DLC for either game will be a full 50% off of original price on PlayStation 3. Xbox 360 gamers will no longer be able to grab a copy of the title as of December 26, 2013 and PlayStation 3 won’t be able to download as of December 17, 2013 for North America then two days later on December 19, 2013 the European store will no longer host the files either.

If you have paid for these games and don’t currently have them on your hard drive, YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD THEM AGAIN or you will not have access to them ever again. Sony gamers can take advantage of this discount so keep your eye open and checking the store if you’re interested. At the time of this article’s publishing there is no Xbox 360 version of this sale confirmed but keep checking the market for this week’s update to drop the price if you’re hopeful, since it hasn’t been ruled out yet by Capcom either.

Editor’s Note: It is likely that other versions of the Marvel VS Capcom games are also being removed such as Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3, download anything you haven’t a hard drive copy of and maybe even create a backup just in case your drive gets corrupted because once they’re not on Sony and Microsoft’s servers it’s over for getting replacement copies.

Marvel VS Capcom 3 and Other MvC Games Being Removed From XBLA / PSN – DOWNLOAD NOW

If you own a copy of the digital version for Marvel VS Capcom 3 or other MvC games you’d better log in and download them now because Capcom, Sony, Microsoft, and Marvel will working together to remove all of the titles as Capcom and Marvel’s license deal likely has ran out in addition to the fact that bandwidth on these services is NOT FREE.  There’s really nothing further to say about this situation other than download now before it’s too late.

PSN Currently Undergoing Light Maintenance; More Gamesharing For Handhelds Now Allowed

Previous limitations are being lifted as PlayStation Network gamers will be able to gameshare their digital purchases to a total of 3 handheld devices (either PlayStation Vita or PlayStation Portable) once today’s PSN maintenance is complete. There may be a light amount of disconnections and errors happening on the Vita / PSP / PS3 / PS4 service during this time while updates are commencing this morning / afternoon, but if you keep trying to sign in things should eventually come to work again.

This move is a bit controversial as it’s highly unlikely that any one gamer owns more than one Vita and more than two handheld Sony gaming devices. With the highly spread use of gamesharing as a form of piracy, developers may not be happy to learn about this and PS4 games are still set up to only run on one device at this time. Many gamers are pressuring Sony to see this service extend to PS4 so they can share games with their friends, but is this really what Sony intends for the gamesharing feature?

The answer in short is no. Technically you are only supposed to put games on consoles you own (not your friends) as this would cause a loss in potential sales revenue for Sony’s third party publisher partners. This interesting issue will remain tracked by our analytics teams as we move forward.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Bug Discovered For PS4 Users w/ Over 99 Friends

Ubisoft’s struck a cord of joy with making many gamers happy since Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’s release. The game’s open world nature and excitement have renewed interest in a franchise that has many loyal fans but was beginning to run long in the tooth and prompt fears that it was being milked.

With the release of PS4 gamers on PSN can now have up to 2,000 friends, finally alleviating the pain of deleting inactive friends and then regretting it later when you want to see how they’re doing or game with them again.

Unfortunately players are playing right now and are unable to web sync data as well as being unable to play the ‘fleets’ content in the video game if they have over 99 friends in their PlayStation Network friends.

Ubisoft is aware of this and working on the bug, here’s to hoping they get this fixed soon.

Digital Game Prices To Be Changed Before Europe Gets PS4

It has been confirmed by Sony that the prices of Digital games for the PS4 will come down. This after a week of scrutiny for both EA and Sony when it was revealed that the price would be £63 on the PlayStation store making them more expensive than their competitors. They have dropped to £60 and will drop lower, similar to Xbox One prices.

“Although PS4 launches in Europe on the 29th November, we have switched on the European PSN early to test and make sure that features and functionality are fully operational for launch,” Sony told Eurogamer.”

“However, as PS4 and PSN have not yet officially launched in this region, nothing on the PSN is final, including pricing on the store. You will continue to see some prices adjusted over the next few days in preparation for launch “on Friday”

Purchased a game already? Don’t worry you will be refunded the difference when the price is lowered according to Sony.
