Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC Trailer Revealed

With less than a week to go until the release, Warner Bros. has dropped a pretty kickass trailer for the Batgirl DLC. In Batgirl: A Matter of Family, the titular heroin teams up with Robin to rescue her Father Commissioner Gordon from the Joker.

The two minute trailer features Barbara and Tim kicking all sorts of ass, with glimpses of Batgirl’s hacking skills in action. It even shows Harley Quinn in her iconic black and red duds from Batman: The Animated Series.

Season Pass owners can download the DLC on July 14, while everyone else will have to wait until July 21 to purchase it separately for $6.99.

All Exclusive Pre-order DLC will be Included in Batman: Arkham Knight’s Season Pass

Worried about not being able to get your hands on all the exclusive pre-order DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight? Well if you plan on purchasing the game’s Season Pass, you’ll still be able to play as the Red Hood and utilize those booster packs. This news was posted on WB’s Forums, where Community Admin Yorick offered some clarity on the issue.

This includes the Harley Quinn and Red Hood Story Packs, as well as any Batmobile or Booster Pack that was available as early bonuses for pre-order of the game.  For those who did not receive the content with their game, these items will become available when their respective exclusivity windows expire in August/September,” Yorick explained.

For $40 Season Pass will deliver new content over a 6 month time period after the game’s release. Fans can look forward to more story content — including the chance to play as Batgirl, challenge maps and more for $40.

Batman: Arkham Knight will launch next Tuesday for PS4 and Xbox One.

The Latest Batman: Arkham Knight Trailer features More Red Hood Gameplay

Earlier this month, fans were given a glimpse of the Red Hood in action with the GameStop pre-order trailer. Unlike the previous trailer, which was mixture of live-action and gameplay, this one features 100% in-game footage.

The Red Hooded vigilante is equipped with his own detective mode, dual handguns and boasts deadly fighting skills. Based on the trailer it seems he is targeting Black Mask, one of Gotham’s most dangerous crime bosses. While Batman has a strict no killing rule, the Red Hood does not, which spells ill for the Black Mask’s henchmen and maybe even the crime boss himself.

The Red Hood Story Pack is exclusive to GameStop. Batman: Arkham Knight launches on June 23rd for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Batman: Arkham Knight’s Season Pass Detailed

Last week saw the reveal of the season pass for Rocksteady’s upcoming Batman title, and the reaction wasn’t terribly positive. With very little detail on what the pass would deliver and the $40 price tag, many fans were understandably upset. In response to this, Rocksteady has offered some details on what fans can expect including the option to play as Batgirl in her very own prequel story, new character skins and more.

“While the story of Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Trilogy will come to a close on June 23rd, we are excited to continue telling stories and delivering more content to explore and play through in the 6 months following the game’s release. We’ll be building more narrative, more missions, more challenges and more characters and vehicles that we want players to experience, even though they didn’t fit into the storyline of Batman: Arkham Knight.”

While they aren’t ready to reveal everything on the season pass’ content, they were generous enough to offer enough to help the fans have a better understanding of what they will be developing.

Batgirl: A Matter of Family

An all new prequel story expansion in an entirely new location where you play as Batgirl for the very first time in the Arkham series

The Season of Infamy

Play as Batman in all new story missions featuring legendary super-villains invading Gotham City, with new story arcs, missions and gameplay features

Gotham City Stories

Legendary Batmobiles with Themed Tracks

Drive the most iconic Batmobiles from Batman’s 75-year history, on custom-built race tracks, each themed to that Batmobile’s specific era. Every Batmobile will be drivable across every race track.

Crimefighter Challenge Maps

Engage in a series of new challenge maps utilizing the unique play styles of Batman and his allies.

Character Skins

A variety of skins from across the eras for Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman.

If this amount of info still isn’t enough, rest assured more details are still to come as they “fully ramp up development on the Season Pass”.

Batman: Arkham Knight’s Limited Edition May Have Spoiled a Major Part of the Story

The Limited Edition of  Batman: Arkham Knight, may have inadvertently spoiled the game’s story. As it was revealed last year, the LE package contains a 50 page custom art book, a steelbook case, comic book and a 12-inch statue of the Caped Crusader.

So what about this is spoiler you ask? Well if you aren’t bothered by spoilers (If you are then turn back!), then pay closer attention to the plaque on statue in the pic below. When it was first revealed the plaque read, “The Gotham Knight”. Now (SPOILERS) the words inscribed now says, “From a grateful city, in memory of the Gotham Knight.” This pretty much implies that The World’s Greatest Detective’s time as Batman comes to an end.

Whether Rocksteady actually kills off the bat or they go The Dark Knight Returns/Rises route, is anyone’s guess. We will have our answer come summer time, when the game releases on June 2.
