Call of Duty WW2 Leaked (Rumor)

Back in February during an earnings call, Activison announced that the new Call of Duty would be returning to it’s roots. Which had people of course speculating that the series would return to it’s original setting in World War 2, and after the success of Battlefield 1 going back to World War 1, it’d only make sense. An anonymous person who is close to the project as leaked several promotional imagines for the rumored Call of Duty WW2, featuring solders on the beach of Normandy in 1944. Likely based on everything we have been hearing and franchises decreasing sales, this would be the best time for Call of Duty to return to it’s roots. Stay tuned as we cover this story, we will update if Activision releases and official statement, or announces the game.

WipEout Omega Collection – (Rumor) Release date likely for June

There is no formal announcement yet by Sony, but the information was leaked from the German version of the “Inside Playstation” magazine. Most people have assumed this would be a summer release, and now it seems all the more likely. The collection comes with three games Wipeout HD, Wipeout Fury and Wipeout 2048, all coming to the PS4 in 60 fps with options for 4K. This should be a decent title for Sony, and will fill out their current exclusive library for the summer. We at Realgamernewz will keep an close eye on this to see if the supposed leak is true, stay tuned.

Is Until Dawn Releasing This June?

Just last month, we discovered that Supermassive Games’ upcoming horror title had a summer release window. Now it seems we may have an actual release date for Until Dawn. According to Hardcoregamer, who spotted listings on Amazon.de, MediaMarkt, and Spielegrotte, the highly anticipated title will release on June 24.

For now even with three different sites having the same listing, take this with a grain of salt. At least until we have an official confirmation from Sony or the developers.

Stay tuned.

RUMOR: Nintendo’s Next Portable System, “New3DS” Could Be Region-Free (Import-Friendly)

***UPDATE: Nintendo has confirmed that the New3DS will NOT be Region-Free and in fact will have the same Region-Lock technology as the Nintendo 3DS, disappointingly. The original unedited rumor follows below:

Nintendo recently revealed to the world that they will be releasing a brand new Nintendo 3DS called “New3DS” that has more RAM, a better CPU (Processor), more trigger buttons, a directional right analog nub, and exclusive game “Xenoblade Chronicles for New 3DS” coming alongside it this October in Japan but not until 2015 in North America. There will be a large LL (XL) version as well as a normal sized one both of which are bigger than 3DS and 3DS XL respectively by a small margin. New3DS also comes with a better 3D viewing screen according to Nintendo which will allow the display of higher resolution graphics and more wide viewing area for the 3D effect gamers on Nintendo handhelds currently enjoy.

A new Rumor has arisen, regarding the fact that New3DS could be the gateway to traveller’s getting the best of both worlds. Those who travel between the Americas, Europe, Japan, Australia, etc. on business may want to be able to purchase games on the go that work in their unit. Even more so, Import-Friendly gamers may want to pay the extra fees and shipping to get a game that only came out in Japan. Nintendo might be allowing a Region-Free setup for New3DS according to whisperings on Wall Street. If this turns out to be true, any New3DS game from any country could be played in a New3DS of any origin. Games and Handhelds would be universal for this transitional-gen of Nintendo New 3DS.

Now i know a lot of you have heard about many different leaks, rumors, and rosters appearing for Super Smash Bros.  Some if not most of them are either false, photo shopped, or just plain copy and pasted. But a new leaked rumor has surfaced on YouTube that may just turn some heads.  And whats better, someone keeps getting these videos removed. In the video below is a bit of game play with Baby Bowser and some other characters in it. Its a 10 minute video but the first 3 minutes is enough to make anyone question the legisity of it.  Comment on what you think,  is this leak real, or fake?

Rumor: PS4 Version of Grand Theft Auto V Gets Release Date Leaked

According to the International Gurus of Unhappiness a Euro retailer by the name of Coolshop has posted up the latest rumor regarding the PlayStation 4 and Xbox ONE versions of GTA V (the world’s fastest selling game until Watch Dogs came out). This is big news for PC Gamers too because if it’s true then we are likely to see that version of the game drop around the same time. According to Coolshop November 14, 2014 is when the game will release. Wait a minute, November? Oh baby. Somebody isn’t scared of Call of Duty anymore I see. Nice. Looks like the king has finally been de-crowned, at least from Rockstar Games’ perspective.

Anyhow, Coolshop later changed the date to December 31, 2014 which of course is just a standard placeholder date that means nothing. The Incubation of Generic Underlings also mentions that in Europe games are normally released on Friday which is when November 14 apparently falls on overseas – adding credibility to this supposed leak. Until we receive official confirmation from R* it’s always best to take stuff like this as a grain of finely crushed up human material. You know, that pink stuff that people use as a cure-all / condiment in the future? Man, you guys don’t know anything.

Rumor: Batman Arkham Knight – Release Date Leaked

International Gurus of iNsanity are at it again with the latest Rumor. According to a listing on Microsoft’s Xbox Games Store the next Batman game, Arkham Knight, will see a release on February 24, 2015. This is making February a pretty overbooked month already with The Order: 1886 hitting PS4 exclusively on February 20, 2015 and The Witcher III dropping the very same day as this Arkham Knight date. Is it a placeholder date? Or is it the real thing?

“Next Gen Is Here”

Those were the words of our E3 floor runner Alos Tucker who joined the RGN E3 Round Table this year and heard direct from his source at Warner Bros that the Batmobile alone in Arkham Knight is made up of more pixels / polygons than 2 of the previous Batman games combined. Arkham Knight also comes with exclusive Scarecrow Nightmare missions on the PlayStation 4 version of the game.

Excitement is high from many various crowds, not just those dedicated to this franchise, as Arkham Knight approaches a release window some time next year.

The Last Guardian Is NOT Cancelled, IGN Doing Dirty Business Again

You may have seen me tweet earlier that IGN was doing some shady journalism through their IGN Russia brand and posting that The Last Guardian was cancelled, without citing an Author to the article and simply alluding to some mysterious source at Sony that was not identified. Colin Moriarty tweeted about this an hour ago as seen in the image below (verified by the links at the bottom of this article) and was responded to by Scott Rohde of Sony Worldwide Studios who confirmed that the game is in fact NOT cancelled.

The Last Guardian for Playstation 3 Appears On Amazon – Leak or Mistake?

After being announced what feels like ages ago at E3 2008 The Last Guardian for PlayStation 3 has just now appeared on Amazon. Sony has not given a total clarification yet as to whether or not this game is meant to still release on the PS3 exclusively, whether it would hit PS4 exclusively, or both. This listing made by Amazon could be a factual error but most times when something gets listed on Amazon it is later confirmed to be for real.

The current placeholder date being listed for The Last Guardian on PS3 is December 31, 2014. This placeholder date could indicate that Sony might be ready to announce a real release date for the end of this year or early next year to see The Last Guardian finally get released.

Team ICO is the developer behind The Last Guardian, which is much of the reason for its high anticipation and demand. Sony Computer Entertainment is the exclusive publisher. Team ICO is very well known for their work on Shadow of the Colossus which received a high definition remaster on the PlayStation 3 last-generation and is very much critically acclaimed. Despite never reaching significant sales, Sony has remained loyal to promoting the game and keeping it alive throughout the years. This is because what Team ICO has created is referred to by most gamers as a piece of art that is important to the video games industry. Eventually, titles like The Last Guardian are expected to break profits in for all of the work Team ICO has been putting in over the years and allow Sony to cash in on the huge number of fans that has grown slowly but surely over the years since the PlayStation 2 days.

At the last we heard of The Last Guardian, Sony confirmed once again March 2014 that the game is still being developed – but failed to state whether the game had been moved to a PlayStation 4 platform-oriented project or when gamers could expect to hear anything more in regard to when the title would finally be done. Judging by Sony’s actions with companies like Guerrilla Games and Team ICO, showing their willingness to wait a lot longer than most major publishers for artistic games to be put together, it’s very likely that Team ICO is getting the “it’s finished when it’s finished” license of freedom from Sony Computer Entertainment. This means on one hand, we might not hear anything further any time soon, but on the other hand it also means that the chance for quality to drop due to the title being rushed is nearly impossible.

Take a look at the following screenshot I took of the Amazon Listing to preserve what is on the page at the time of this writing. Amazon members can pre-order the title now, but Amazon does not charge financials until a game is shipped and pre-ordering does not guarantee a copy of the game just as Gamestop pre-orders “reserve” a title pending certain policy stipulations. No statement is available from Sony at this time in regard to the legitimacy of this listing, but the story will be updated by RealGamerNewz as it develops.

Here’s the link to the Amazon Listing for The Last Guardian on PS3.

Rumor: Bioshock – The City of Dreams Film In The Makings Again

About one year after the game’s creator, Ken Levine, officially confirmed that he decided to kill the project after a disagreement and discomfort on both a budget and an R rating for the movie ‘Bioshock’ with the publishers of Universal, it seems like the movie might be pulled from the dust.

Sony Pictures bought three different domains last month according to Kotakubioshock-movie.com, bioshock-movie.net and bio-shock.net, which may indicate for a second chance of the movie being produced.

The game creator Ken Levine had stated earlier that he has not ruled out the possibility of another attempt on the movie, only if “the right combination of people” were involved. Perhaps that a collaboration of Sony Pictures and Ken Levine could lead to one of the most gory, and epic RPG games of all time made into a beautiful movie for us all to enjoy.

Borderlands: The Pre -sequel Rumor

Gearbox said they were not working on Borderlands 3, but never said anything about a prequel, or pre-sequel. The game is said to be developed for 360, PS3, and PC. It also says it would be set on the moon orbiting the planet, which would fill a gap between Borderlands and Borderlands 2. Players will be able to select one of  four lieutenants to play as in Athena the Gladiator, Wilhelm the Enforcer, Nisha the Lawbringer and Fragtrap, a fighting claptrap unit. It would be traditional Borderlands style of game play, and could hold people over till Borderlands 3, explains the current gen release, since more people are likely to own a next gen system in the next few years. Not much else is said, but we could see a official announcement at E3 this year, and the game coming out later in the year.

PC Version of Dark Souls II Rumored To Include Various PC Graphical Settings

For Dark Souls fans awaiting the release of Dark Souls II on PC, there may be some good news (if it’s true) for you. According to rumors from a NeoGAF user the PC version of the game includes numerous settings options including:

1080p at 60fps

Several graphics options. Textures, shadows, effects, AA, AO, blur, anisotropic filtering, water quality, depth of field and etc.

There’s an option that will automatically lower your graphics to maintain performance.

Really fast loading times. Don’t even have time to read an entire tip.”

This is good knows for those who purchased the Games For Windows version of Dark Souls and were sorely disappointed that it didn’t play or look much better than the console versions did. If this news is true it’s good to know that the developers listened to fan feedback about the sub-par performance of the first game and are willing to try and optimize the game for PC players. What do you all think of these rumored features? Is it enough to make you want to hold out a bit longer to play the PC version? Or will you stick to the console version? Let us know in the comments below!

Film: Transformers 5 Movie Releasing 2017; PS4 / XO Game In Consideration [Rumor]

A supposedly leaked presentation about an upcoming Transformers 5 movie has been discovered and is spreading around top film industry news websites this afternoon. Speculation alongside this rumor includes the viewpoint that if Transformers: Age of Extinction is not able to make enough cash, Transformers 5 might never come about.

Currently word is unknown about the exact plot details that could occur, however Transformers: Age of Extinction makes its premiere on June 27, 2014 and this leak suggests a Transformers 5 film arriving “Transformers 5 for Q2 of 2017”.

Further sources reach that there is a video game in the works as well for next generation platforms PS4 / Xbox ONE to release alongside two Anime productions being labelled as “cartoons”.

Could we be seeing a saturation of the series, or are you interested in finding our more about the multiple projects from Hasbro and their film / video game industry partners? Let us know in the comments and we’ll do our best to get to the bottom of all of this.

Final Fantasy X-3 Rumor Receives New Evidence From Square Enix

You may recall that it wasn’t too long ago (December 2013 to be exact) when we filed the FFX-3 Rumor for our readers explaining how Kazushige Nojima was stating to the public a willingness to create Final Fantasy X-3 if enough demand existed within the Final Fantasy fan-base.

Well, it appears that in Japan Square Enix may be attempting to test out that demand as we speak. Final Fantasy X-2.5 has been released as a ‘novella’ which extends the plot line of the series and opens up the room for a third entry. After the success witnessed with Final Fantasy X HD Remaster, Square Enix is likely to keep this on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita / Vita TV for now with the Final Fantasy fan-base purchasing up classic titles there at a decent rate.

Those who are searching for a Final Fantasy X-3 HD Release Date though are fresh out of luck. This project might not even exist, or could be in the very early stages of planning – ripe for cancellation if enough fan interest isn’t shown. If you want to see this game become a reality, we suggest you comment on this article, share it to your friends, and tweet it to the official Square Enix Account (@SquareEnixUSA) with your feedback.
