Just Dance 2015 Review

Just Dance 2015 is the sixth iteration of the best selling dancing franchise from Ubisoft. The first title came out in 2009 and every year since they have been adding iterations of their games with new songs in each one as well as new features making it one of the best dance games on the market. Ubisoft is best known for some of their franchises that have just gotten bigger with time such as: Assassins Creed, Far Cry, Splinter Cell, Rayman, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Prince of Persia, and of course Just Dance.

Just Dance 2015 is a get off the couch type of game where all kinds of songs can be danced to as well as song karaoke style. The in game tracking is spot on, while using the Kinect with the Xbox One it feels that it picks up the moves very well. Dance Moves are easy to pick up and still can be challenging at times to get the whole routine down. After completing a routine or getting gold stars from a song, other routines will open with new moves and new visuals to dance to. Dancing can be done with multiple players and in some songs they also can have a complete different routine depending on what character they choose for example in Lady Gaga – Bad Romance there are 3 separate dancers with 3 different routines which makes for a very fun time. Just dance also has the ability to record what the user is dancing to and puts clips altogether and can be viewed at the end of the video and effects can be added such as funny faces and different backgrounds this can be shared on social media such as Facebook.

The game urges creativity while making videos, so use props or wear a costume and it has already been seen on the featured video’s in game. Speaking of the user recording themselves in game a new feature added to Just Dance 2015 it’s called Community Remix its where the game has a featured song for a limited time and they have users record their moves in song and then the community votes on all the video’s submitted. The best 15 to 30 clips will be featured in a new remix once it comes out, with all of their moves mixed into one mix. It’s incredibly addicting and fun to see all the videos from all around.

Another great feature added this year is Challenger mode, where friends online can challenge your score to a song and they can go head to head with you. While competing in challenger mode the user will perform against a past performance of the challenger. The user can then attempt to beat the challenger and post the highest score on the global online leaderboards. Each user in Just Dance has a profile where they have their videos for other users to view as well as their premiere dance moves as well as their avatar. Avatars or Stickers in game are received by completing different songs and different routines.

World Dance Floor is Just Dance online multiplayer where the user can dance with other players from around the world to see who is the best. They also can compete in teams as well for some routines. Online is really fun and can be very addicting because of the competition between players for the highest score. As with all Dance and Rhythm based games the game has to have a good soundtrack or no one is going to come back and play it. The following is the tracklist or Just Dance 2015 not including DLC:

  •  Maps- Maroon 5
  • Bang Bang- Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj
  • Black Widow- Iggy Azalea, Ft. Rita Ora
  • She Looks So Perfect- 5 Seconds of Summer

Final Verdict:

Just Dance 2015 is the best dancing game that can be found on the market, with the game there is a ton of features that other dance and rhythm games don’t have as well as and amazing soundtrack. The Just Dance community is getting bigger and they have great feedback for the game as well. It will be supported constantly,  with new DLC being added to the game quite frequently and the community can also request songs via Uplay that they would like see added to the game.

BloodBowl iOS REVIEW!!!!

Blood Bowl For iOS is a great game not the best I have ever seen but if you’re looking for a game that does the job then you should give this game a look; it’s not bad and it’s not great. To me, BloodBowl is in the middle and the developers behind this title need to get the bugs worked out of the game. BloodBowl feels like NFL meets Diablo from all my testing of the game and although there are some bugs, it runs pretty good.

If you’re looking for a fast loading time game though you’re not going to find it here with this game. Overall looks of the games is not bad. the graphics is what makes this game shine on an iPad love how they mix humans with zombies this game is one people should buy on the app store on the iPad and iPhone.

My Verdict 7.9 out 10, Watch my Video Below for More.

  • Needs Bug Fixes
  • Long Load Times
  • Make The Game Easier To Play

Collector’s Only #4 – Looking Back

In the last console generation gamers saw a flood of games that saw a collector’s edition or limited editon when they we’re released.  There so many of games of yester-gen that got this treatment that a lot of them felt tacked on to give the developers and publishers an extra SKU and few actually stood out to the gamer at large. in this edition of Collectors Only we take a look back at the games who’s collectors edition actually stood out and gave those gamers who invested the extra money something to be proud of.

Halo 3

Halo 3 arguable kicked off the Collector’s Edition crazy of last gen showing people that they can and will be successful putting the right content inside the box. The box in this case was a Master Chief helmet and included all of the items in the limited edition (extra maps, behind the scenes etc) and just look cool to put on display for all of your friends and family to bask in its glory.

The Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collection

Capcom did the unthinkable with the release of the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collection by packing in almost every Street Fighter ever created. It also contains Street Fighter 2 the animated movie and the Street Fighter IV movie, the complete soundtrack, a black belt, an art book and a certificate of authenticity this is a must own for any street fighter fan.

Infamous 2 Hero Edition/Uncharted 2 Among Thieves/The Last Of Us

Sony made sure that they give their fans a lot of bang for their gaming buck in these collector’s editions with Infamous 2, Uncharted 3, and The Last of Us. There is so much content, and extra goodies in these collector’s edition that make it almost mandatory to buy them at launch or lose out on the bragging rights to those who did.

The Elders Scrolls V: Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was a massive gem of last generation that threw gamers into the unfamiliar region of Tamriel  and into an adventure unlike any we’ve seen before. The Collector’s Edition of Skyrim gave gamers a Behind-The-Scenes look at the development of the game, a quality art book, steelbook, Dovahkiin Dragon Statue and a leather-esque map of Skyrim not available in the standard edition.

Batman Arkham: Series

The Collector’s Editions for the Batman Arkham series has got better with each entry into the series. The teams at Rocksteady, Eidos, and WB Games has packed each collector’s set with statues, DLC, memorabilia, movies and more; leaving gamers to wonder what Batman Arkham Knight will contain in its collector’s edition.

Grand Theft Auto: V Collector’s Edition

Grand Theft Auto: V was the last GTA game on last gen consoles and its collector’s edition trumped the previous entries which also had an impressive package of its own. RGN fan may remember when I unboxed this marvel but in you cased you missed the video you can check it out here. Rockstar games packed this beauty with a Collector’s Edition “Los Santos” fitted cap, a bank envelope and key, a blueprint map along with Collector’s Edition DLC and steelbook of the game.

Mortal Kombat 9 Kollector’s Edition/Tournament Edition

Netherrealm Studios and WB Games made magic when they released MK9 last gen and they believed in the title so much that they not only released a Kollector’s Edition with a limited edition statue but a Tournament Edition with a limited edition fight stick as well. The game did so well that the tournament edition sold out before the game even launched prompting the developer to re-release the MK9 fight stick with the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection.

Super Mario All Star’s 25th Anniversary Edition/ Super Mario Bros 25th Collector’s Edition Wii Console Bundle

Nintendo pulled out all the stops for the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros, starting the re-release of Super Mario All Star’s which contained all three of the original Super Mario Bros games as well as the “Secret Levels”. The game also came with a collector’s booklet detailing Mario’s history and CD soundtrack with music from the entire Mario franchise. Nintendo didn’t stop there as they then released an all red Wii console bundle complete with a all-red Wii-Motion plus Wii-mote as well as Wii Sports and Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Developers and publishers went all out for the games last year and this list is only all small portion of games that had a Collector’s or Limited edition package. There where more games that had a collector’s edition last gen than all of the previous gen combined, now the question is will this gen lived up to the legacy? We hope you have enjoyed this edition of “Collector’s Only” and if didn’t see your favorite games collector’s edition on the list leave us a comment below.

Sony: “A huge proportion” of PS4 Owners Haven’t Played The Last of Us

As reported back in June, a sizable chunk of PS4 owners never owned a PlayStation 3; 31% were Xbox 360 and Wii owners while 17% never owned a last gen console at all. That’s almost half of PS4 owners right there. This interesting and impressive statistic goes hand in hand with Sony’s discovery that a “Huge proportion” of PS4 owners have not played Naughty Dog’s 2013 masterpiece The Last of Us.

“The Last of Us is considered one of the most significant titles of the last console generation, winning countless awards. It would be almost unfair for all our new fans to never play a game like this,” SCEE product manager Josh Walker told MCV.

“We’ve looked at PSN data and can see a huge proportion of PS4 players haven’t experienced The Last of Us yet,” he added. “This is quite indicative of the shift in the market and the many players who have migrated from competitive platforms that we’re glad to welcome to PlayStation.”

The Last of Us: Remastered includes all the DLC released for the PS3 version, in-game cinematic commentary from the cast and creative director. It will be in full 1080p and running at 60 frames per second.

Official Box art.

July 29th, 2014 is the game’s official North American release date.

GDC 2014: It’s Like E3, But For Developers (Mostly)

In jus a couple of weeks The Game Developers Conference 2014 (GDC 2014) will take place. GDC is an industry trade event where professionals such as programmers, artists, executives, marketing teams, public relations crews, publishers, investors, gaming press, and more all come together to discuss important issues facing the industry as a whole this year. Beyond this, panels are held with topics often ranging from analysis of cultural phenomena, business politics, technological innovation, strategic posturing, major industry announcements, and more.

Over the years GDC has also become similar to PAX and E3 in that gamers who are sitting out on the sidelines and catching the information flowing from the event in the comfort of their own homes have come to expect a certain amount of announcements from major publishers and game companies (especially ‘The Big 3’). Many game companies have already began listing their lineups for the GDC 2014 event and appointment booking is already commencing as well.

Readers can rest assured that all of the trailers released at / alongside this year’s GDC 2014 will find their way to RealGamerNewz in the highest quality resolution available. Beyond that, we are committed to posting relevant and important industry / developer issues that are brought up by this year’s panels and news announcements. Be sure to shoot us an email if we miss anything or if you have specific topics you want discussed with our business partners and crew (email us at our tips account). Expect a WrapUp Videocast or two in addition to the stream of coverage the team aims to provide, with the potential appearance of industry insiders and indie developers chiming in on these issues with the RGN Podcast Crew and / or through text-based RGN Analysis articles.

For info / videos released during GDC 2014, follow our dedicated GDC 2014 Section here.

Is Star Fox On Wii U Real?

Is Star Fox coming to Wii U in 2014? Or the foreseeable future? Recently a faked video came out from ScrewAttack saying it was being produced by PlatinumGames but was shot down immediately after. It is still highly possible (about 90% percent in my opinion) that due to overwhelming demand it will happen eventually in the next 3 years, and not necessarily from PlatinumGames as the developer. Nothing is announced for most of Nintendo’s series expect for series such as Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda, and Donkey Kong. Hopefully we will see news on some hit series like Star Fox, Metriod, Kirby, Paper Mario, and much more.

Top 5 Best Looking Nintendo Wii Exclusive Games

#5: Xenoblade Chronicles

With a specific art style highly stylized and massive surroundings, Xenoblade Chronicles manages to make the list of the Top 5 Best Looking Nintendo Wii exclusive games.

#4: Monster Hunter: Tri

The addition of this of the cult hit to the Wii was by far a game that would look even better if it was in HD, but still looked great  on Wii’s hardware nonetheless.

#3: Metroid Other M

One of the best games on the Wii is also one of the best looking, with realistic faces and amazing scenery to detail Metroid Other M lands in third place on our list.

#2: Super Mario Galaxy 2

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is filled with amazing color and such detail to every piece of the environment.

#1: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

With an art style similar to Majora’s Mask, but of course with more detail due to better technology, the world of Skyward Sword is filled with scenes that plant it straight to #1 on our list.

Dr. Luigi Review

The spiritual successor to the Dr. Mario games, and the final game apart of The Year of Luigi. This puzzle style game is one of the most surprising games to come out as of late but at the same time we all knew it was coming someday.

Game Modes: Operation L is a mix on the classic style of Dr. Mario, where the pills are in a L shape for Luigi. Basically the difference is that this time around the colors are harder to match due to its shape. Retro Remedy is the classic Dr. Mario style so it’s the simple dropping of the pills to match the colors. Virus buster is similar to retro remedy but uses the touch screen controls more as you can flip in whichever direction you use it in.

Online Battle: Online mode lets you play against other players in either Operation L in Flash, Classic mode or Retro Remedy. Players are different than CPU so you must react and drop your pills fast to even have a chance. It keeps track of your wins so you can see how many the other player has, and it also features a rating system that rates you based on your skill.

Graphics and Music: The graphics look like New Super Mario Bros. U, which of course looks very good. But there is not much going on besides Luigi moving his arms back and forth and the virus jumping around. It has some classic themes like Fever which is based on the Dr. Mario theme and others like Chill. Or you could listen to the sounds of pills dropping and destroying the virus.

Replay Ability:  High

Final Verdict: A good game to hop in and out of some quick solo or multiplayer matches. Gamepad play is awesome using the pen to create a different game play experience, makes me wonder what a 3DS version of this game would be like. Serves as a fitting end to The Year of Luigi, Dr. Luigi gets a 8 out of 10.

After dominating the console racing genre with the release of  NASCAR The Game: Inside Line in November 2012 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii consoles, the team over at Eutechnyx has done it again.
